A complete programme of external works to a period property in St John's Wood: stone paving and steps, new drainage, lawn installation and ornamental ironwork, coordinated and delivered as a single project.
The works.
The brief covered the full external envelope of the property: the front boundary and approach, the side return, and the rear garden. The works were run as one coordinated programme so that groundworks, drainage, paving, planting and metalwork were sequenced by a single team rather than handed between trades.
To the front, the ornamental ironwork was restored and refinished, the render redecorated, and the beds behind the boundary wall replanted. To the rear, the garden was regraded and laid to lawn, with sandstone paving and steps forming the terrace and the transition between levels. Linear channel drainage runs at the base of the steps and along the side return, keeping surface water away from the building.
The result is an exterior that matches the standard of the property it belongs to, built on groundwork the owner never has to think about.
